Nella incantevole vallata si snoda il fiume Tirino da cui prende il nome l’azienda che tanto è legata a queste acque pure e limpide che scorrono “sornione” tra una vegetazione varia, rigogliosa ed incontaminata. Ed è in questo scenario naturale che la famiglia D’Alfonso, già nel XVII secolo, si è insediata traendo sostentamento dalle coltivazioni delle “cannavine”, orti del fiume Tirino, dalla sapiente gestione delle “ricone”, punti di raccolta dei sedani d’acqua, cibo per le mucche, e dalla pesca di trote e gamberi.

 

The enchanting valley is crossed by the Tirino river, which gives name to our Farm that is very closely tied to these pure, crystal, clear waters that run alongside a varied, flourishing and uncontaminated vegetation. It is in this beautiful natural setting that the D’Alfonso family settled, since the 17th century, getting its living from the cultivation of the “cannavine”, vegetable gardens of the Tirino river, from the wise management of the “ricone”, natural aggregation of celery water ( food for cows), and from the fishing of trouts and crayfishes.
